Carbon Fiber-Reinforced
Plastics (CFRP) represent a dynamic new class of engineering materials.
Originally developed for aerospace and defense applications (aircraft
and missile parts) CFRP materials now find widespread use across a
number of industries. The biggest consumer of CFRP materials is the
sporting goods industry, with such applications as golf club shafts,
fishing rods, fences, tennis rackets etc..
What's more, CFRP materials are now almost indispensable in the field
of medical equipment and in general machine construction.
