SGL Group – The Carbon Company – has been recognized as one of Germany’s most innovative companies in a sector-wide survey by brand eins Wissen and Statista. Within the study under the title “2016 Innovator of the Year”, SGL Group is particularly impressing with its products and services as well as its groundbreaking processes.
The study by brand eins Wissen and Statista is based on recommendations from around 6,500 experts regarding the country’s leading innovators in their specific industry. These recommendations were then sorted in a ranking list and assessed on a sector-by-sector basis. In the sector “production and processing of materials and construction materials”, SGL Group came third, behind first-place Heraeus Holding GmbH and second-place Linde AG. A total of 256 companies in 20 sectors made it onto the leader board.
Tilo Hauke, head of research at SGL Group, said: “We are delighted with this accolade. It shows that our customers and partners see and recognize our innovation skills. This is obviously a further motivation to step up technological development in our key markets.”
