Last week, the 4th global Safety Day took place at all SGL Carbon sites.
This year's Safety Day focused on hazardous substances. Various information events, workshops, and training sessions taught the basics of safe handling of chemical substances. Topics included labeling, proper storage, personal protective equipment, and correct behavior in emergency management.
Practical demonstrations and illustrative examples helped participants gain a comprehensive understanding of potential risks and appropriate protective measures. In addition, the event promoted cross-location exchange on other topics and best safety practices.
With its annual Safety Day, SGL Carbon focuses on raising awareness of occupational safety in order to further consolidate the safety culture at the company's locations worldwide.
