In many wind turbines today, our carbon fiber-based composites are already making an important contribution. Thanks to the high strength and stiffness of these materials combined with their low density, they can be used to produce slender, aerodynamically efficient rotor blade structures with adequate stiffness to withstand extreme stresses.

Our innovative specialty products are facilitating a generation of rotor blades that set new standards for performance efficiency, service life, and rotor dynamics. Our range includes carbon fibers and semi-finished products based on glass and carbon fibers specially developed for the production of rotor blades. We are also developing tailored solutions for carbon brushes, which are important functional components in wind turbine generators.
