Internship/Master thesis "(Electro-)Chemical optimization of lithium-ion battery anodes"
Your Opportunity :
  • Introduction to the topics and issues of lithium-ion batteries with aspects of material development and/or aspects of material processing to electrodes and battery testing
  • Opportunity to participate actively in the full process chain of anode material development (graphite, carbon, silicon) – from synthesis via characterization towards implementation in prototype batteries
  • Development of new synthesis and preparation approaches on multi-scale level
  • Assessment of suitable materials, precursors and additives on their optimization potentials
  • Correlation of material properties and processing with electrochemical performance
  • Evaluation and comparison of possible manufacturing processes in terms of state of the art, production capacity and cost
Your Profile :
  • Enrolled in master studies in the field of chemistry, physics, materials sciences, ceramics, metallurgy or comparable, as well as combined studies of business and technical areas
  • Beneficial: Knowledge in the field of nano-materials and their handling, material synthesis and/or characterization, polymer science or electrochemistry and/or batteries
  • Interest in consideration of industrial research aspects
  • Fully conversant with MS Office Suite
  • Mother tongue level either in German or English
  • High degree of commitment, autonomous working style and excellent communication skills
  • Available from now on for a period of 6 to 9 months
  • Applications welcome in German or English
