Wiesbaden, November 21, 2025. The SGL Carbon site in Meitingen has reason to celebrate as one of its trainees received a special award. Elias Stemmer was honored by the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) as the top trainee in the field of "Process Mechanic for Plastics and Rubber, Specializing in Fiber Composites."
The award ceremony took place in the VIP area of the WWK Arena in Augsburg. Dr. Marc Lucassen, CEO of the IHK Schwaben, and Michael Ströll, CEO of FC Augsburg, congratulated the award winners. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of commitment, discipline, and professional competence.
Site manager Alexander Miehling and training manager Philipp Modlmeir celebrated with Stemmer. "We are proud to support such talented young people in our training program," Modlmeir said. "Elias's achievements make this award well-deserved."
