From carbon fibers, fiber intermediates, textiles, and pre-impregnated materials to finished components made of fiber-reinforced plastics - benefit from our diverse processing technologies and comprehensive production, material and application know-how. In high-tech applications requiring high strength and stiffness combined with light weight, our composite solutions based on carbon, glass and flax fibers are indispensable. Business Line Fiber Specialities

BL Fiber Specialities manufactures carbon fiber from a precursor, either as continuous fiber or as a fiber intermediate in milled or chopped form.

Our SIGRAFIL® short carbon fibers are based on our high-quality continuous carbon fibers tows from our own production. They are characterized by the same high quality, manufacturing consistency and defined properties. Our short fibers in chopped and milled form are used primarily as reinforcing and filling materials and for a wide variety of mixing processes.

Business Line Composite Materials

BL Composite Materials develops and manufactures innovative semi-finished products made from high-performance fiber materials for demanding applications in the composites sector. Our portfolio includes carbon, glass, flax, and aramid fibers, from which we produce high-quality textile structures such as prepregs, woven fabrics, nonwovens, and pre-fabricated stacks. Combined with high-performance resin systems, these form the basis of our pre-impregnated materials - prepregs, towpregs, and adhesive films. Our products are manufactured at our German sites in Meitingen, Wackersdorf, and Willich. There, we leverage our many years of expertise from the automotive and aerospace industries to scale customer-specific solutions efficiently, precisely, and in line with specific needs.

Woven fabrics, non-crimp fabrics, stacks and non-wovens made from carbon, glass and aramid fibers

Our SIGRATEX® textile materials make composites extremely light, stiff, and strong. They have good drapability, are easy to process, and are compatible with different resin systems. Our portfolio includes a broad spectrum of non-crimp textiles, woven fabrics, woven tapes, and non-wovens. We can supply customer-tailored variants for specific requirements.

We offer the full range of textile reinforcement materials made from high-quality carbon, glass and aramid fibers impregnated with different resin systems – from prepregs based on woven fabrics, non-crimp textiles, and non-woven fabrics to adhesive films and TowPregs. Business Line Small Series Solutions

BL Small Series Solutions includes the small series production area in Ried and CFK in Meitingen. We offer all manufacturing processes from autoclave technology to RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) and prepreg pressing for small and medium component volumes (five-digit range p.a.). The product range spans industrial applications, medical technology components, and components for the aerospace and defense industries, and automotive in shell surface and structure.
