Carbon-ceramic brake discs – for perfect braking
Along the enthusiastic path that leads to the search for perfect braking, discs in carbon-ceramic material represent a fundamental progressive step. Born from the application of aerospace derived technology and designed for super sports or very powerfull cars, carbon-ceramic discs produced by Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes (BSCCB) provide extraordinary advantages that results directly in cars performance improvment, maintaining the same reliability of cast iron discs. Carbon-ceramic discs meet the needs of those who want excellence without compromise for their vehicles: performance excellence and driving comfort, aesthetic excellence of the car and safety.
C/C brake discs – for top performance in racing
We were the first producer to develop a C/C brake disc for Formula 1 racing applications. Meanwhile, we are applying the targeted concept to develop and produce friction products for a large number of customers. By pooling our technical and production resources in the development and advancement of friction products, we optimize throughput and service while minimizing costs.

Carbon-ceramic brake disks
The carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon carbide (C/SiC) brake disks weigh around 50 percent less than conventional gray cast-iron brake disks. Other advantages include much better braking response, higher fading stability, very good control, better directional stability and prevention of brake dust. High thermal stability, corrosion resistance and wear resistance ensure an exceptionally long brake disk life.

C/C racing brake disks
High speeds, thermal stress, little wear and fast response – in racing, brake technology is subject to enormous demands. Our carbon fiber-reinforced carbon (C/C) brakes offer high thermal shock resistance and consistent, fade-free braking performance at low weight and high abrasion resistance. The brake rotor and brake pads are made entirely of C/C, as this material has both constructive and frictional properties.
