Effective May 01, 2023, Alexander Miehling has succeeded Rüdiger Krieger as site manager of SGL Carbon in Meitingen, as well as taking over the management of SGL Carbon’s global corporate function Production Technology, Safety and Environment (PTSE).
Mr. Miehling has held various positions at SGL since 2006. As qualified mechanical engineer, he began working as a process engineer for the joint venture Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes (BSCCB). Hereafter he passed through several managerial functions in research and development, site engineering and as production manager for the Business Unit Process Technology at the site in Meitingen. In an international environment, Mr. Miehling was able to obtain experience as operational manager of the machining locations in Europe and India and most recently as global manager of the sites for the business unit.
