Broad foil yarn portfolio
For manufacturing our expanded graphite foil yarns, we solely use our high quality SIGRAFLEX foils. This allows us to offer a broad foil yarn portfolio and to guarantee that the yarn owns the same unique properties like the base foil grade. We manufacture e.g. foil yarns from SIGRAFLEX APX2 foil offering maximum protection against oxidation and from SIGRAFLEX Z foil having very low ash contents, especially halogen levels e.g. for nuclear applications.
Over knitted wire reinforcement
The over knitted wire reinforcement is Inconel® 601 which provides the added tensile suitable for braiding. The wire also possesses excellent high temperature behavior. In addition it also improves the foil yarn’s and is suitably lubricated with no detriment to the high temperature performance and purity of the yarn.
