SICABON^® SiC tube heat exchanger:
Leakage avoidance by innovative tube sheet system

SICABON tube heat exchangers mainly are used to control highly corrosive or oxidizing applications. We provide optimized solutions for your specific requirements which significantly reduce operational costs and, at the same time, minimize risks when processing such critical as well as demanding corrosive media.

Compared to other highly corrosion resistant materials, operational safety of ceramic equipment relies on first class sealing technologies. Based on our experiences in hundreds of installations, we further improved our state-of-the-art sealing concept to a trendsetting, innovative tube sheet layout. By applying a temperature stable and corrosion resistant intermediate plate made of SiC, the performance and tightness of our SICABON heat exchanger is assured.

DIABON^® Plate heat exchanger:
The optimum in simplicity and performance

The DIABON plate heat exchanger is the most modern and efficient heat exchange technology on the market and was developed in cooperation between Alfa Laval and SGL Carbon.

In general, four different sizes and three different materials are available which offers you a variety of choices. Additionally, you can benefit from various advantages like high flexibility with his modular expansion possibilities, a compact design due to high efficient heat exchange and a very short delivery time of eight weeks.

More than 3000 references worldwide and continuous innovations like the world's largest graphite plate heat exchanger type P90 or our new SICABON plate heat exchanger are our proof of outstanding benefits from which you can take profit.

DIABON^® Groove heat exchanger:
Gasket-free plate heat exchanger for tough applications

For heating or cooling of corrosive media, DIABON groove heat exchangers are an economic and reliable choice. Especially when a gasket-free heat exchanger made of DIABON graphite is required. Machined graphite plates are directly connected together by SGL Carbon´s cementing technology. No gaskets are present between the plates.

Additionally, this design with a turbulent flow arrangement is very efficient, thus requiring very small installation space and is therefore a compact alternative to e.g. annular groove heat exchangers.

POLYFLURON^® and DIABON^® columns:
Pure performance in each section

Applied to steel columns, reactors and vessels, our universally resistant PTFE linings deliver virtually unlimited corrosion resistance and high mechanical stability, allowing pressures up to 16 bar and temperatures up to 250 °C. Dr. Schnabel's POLYFLURON is ideally suited to highly pure applications.

Our columns, reactors and vessels made of DIABON graphite are fully vacuum resistant. They can cope with pressures up to 3 bar and reach diameters up to 3500 mm.

In addition, we can offer you full package solutions that include column internals made out of graphite or carbon fiber-reinforced carbon.

DIABON^® Quenches:
Benchmark in design and performance

Our graphite-based quenches are an excellent choice for the treatment of gases in an aggressive chemical environment, and also can withstand gas temperatures up to 1600 °C. Their design, with no moving parts, is extremely robust and is not affected by thermal shock or deformation, while impairment by dust particles is minimized.

SGL Carbon offers pipe quenches for high heat transfer rates or empty pipe quenches which are reducing the risk of fouling.

Thanks to our material expertise, we deliver centrifugal pumps that outperform standard pump constructions and help generate the lowest cost of ownership. DIABON centrifugal pumps are vacuum resistant, compatible with almost all corrosive fluids and extraordinary durable.

Specially designed to improve the performance of evaporation loops in the phosphoric acid industry, we also offer a range of exotic metal pumps based on titanium, zirconium and nickel alloys.

In fact, we are one of the very few manufacturers of pumps that are capable of serving the complete phosphoric acid generation process.
