With more complex industrial manufacturing processes the demand on the sealing materials used also increases. In particular, higher process temperatures, reductions in equipment downtimes, and increased product quality require optimum material solutions e.g. for stuffing box packings for valves and fittings as well as pump and valve bodies.

The new SIGRAFLEX OXR yarn is unique in many respects. It has been specifically developed for high-temperature applications and combines the advantages of graphitized PAN yarns with those of a proprietary coating to enhance its temperature resistance. It furthermore fulfills the requirements of packing manufacturers for low friction and high thermal conductivity.

The purity of the yarn is excellent as well: with a carbon content ≥ 99.5%. The yarn also has a low sulfur, fluorine and chlorine content and is PFAS-free. This is a decisive advantage for our customers, since SIGRAFLEX OXR yarn is the only yarn product on the market that meets the requirement of Shell specification 85/204 for graphite.

SIGRAFLEX^® APX2^® Foil Yarn

SIGRAFLEX APX2 yarn is the best foil yarn on the market regarding oxidation resistance. Made from flexible expanded natural graphite SIGRAFLEX APX2 foil, which is already established in the sealing market and provides maximum protection from oxidation, and reinforced with Inconel^® wire, the yarn allows the braider to produce a high-temperature resistant and high-purity packing with outstanding mechanical properties.

SIGRAFLEX^® LL Foil

The latest product in our SIGRAFLEX portfolio, SIGRAFLEX LL, a PFAS-free graphite foil with low leakage, enables the production of low emission, pure graphite packing rings and thus the reduction of life cycle costs.

SIGRAFLEX^® ECONOMY

Flat gaskets from SIGRAFLEX ECONOMY graphite sealing sheets are suitable for pumps, fittings and valves, especially for thin gaskets, for unstable flanges with low gasket stresses and for waste gas pipelines, e.g. in incineration plants as well as for raised-face flanges.
