SIGRAFLEX® graphite rayon yarn
Our customers benefit from the high-quality and high-purity of SGL Carbon’s SIGRAFLEX packing yarns when producing braided packings. Since the quality and state of the yarn used is crucial to the properties of the braided packing, in addition to an adequate manufacturing method.
Especially our high-purity, continuous graphite rayon yarns, which have a carbon content ≥ 99,9% and are soft, compliant and resistant to media, are excellent for high speed pump applications and where minimum coating is desired. PFAS-free coatings are available.

SIGRAFLEX® PAN Graphite Yarns
SGL Carbon’s SIGRAFLEX PAN graphite yarns are not only of high purity (carbon content ≥ 99%), but also extremely oxidation and media resistant and temperature stable. In addition they show a low friction coefficient. When specially coated, they also meet the latest Shell specification MESC SPE 85/204 for graphite.
