SIGRAFLEX® Z and ZX foil
For SIGRAFLEX high-purity graphite foil production we solely use high-purity natural graphite flakes as base material. This minimizes contamination which significantly reduces the leakage rate as well as the thermal and corrosion resistance of graphite gaskets on steel flanges. Using SIGRAFLEX foils allows for increasing the operating reliability and the entire service life of the equipment. Our products contribute significantly to cutting costs in static and dynamic sealing connections, no matter if they are used as packing or sealing material. Both SIGRAFLEX Z and ZX foil are free of PFAS.
Our SIGRAFLEX Z foil has an ash content below 0.15 %, a chloride and fluoride content of maximum 10 ppm and a sulfur content below 300 ppm. Therefore, it is especially suited to extreme requirements, such as sensitive processes in power plants.
Protection from pitting corrosion
In acute cases of corrosion of any kind, especially in the case of pitting-like corrosion, the use of SIGRAFLEX Foil ZX is recommended. The material is also advisable for packings, flat gaskets and shaped gaskets for armatures which are under the influence of water or steam.
SIGRAFLEX ZX foil is produced from SIGRAFLEX Z foil by subsequent treating the foil in several process steps with barium molybdate, a highly-effective corrosion inhibitor.
SIGRAFLEX Foil ZX is suitable for usage in nuclear power plants (primary and secondary circuit) with regards to safety and maintenance freedom.
